Tachibana no Mochimasa (橘以政)

TACHIBANA no Mochimasa (date of birth and death unknown) was a government official during the end of the Heian period. He was the son of TACHIBANA no Mochinaga, the Chikugo no kuni no Kami (governor of Chikugo Province). He was the father of TACHIBANA no Mochitsune, TACHIBANA no Mochisuke and Seishun. He also acted as the Tachibanashi choja (chieftain of the Tachibana family).

He had consecutively served as the Kurodo (Chamberlain), the Settsu no kuni no kami (governor of Settsu Province), Chikugo no kuni no Kami, the Chugu no suke (Assistant Master of the Consort's Household) until he was promoted to the rank of Shoshiinoge (Senior Fourth Rank, Lower Grade). On August 1181, he started to serve as the Keishi (household superintendent) for Kanezane KUJO. On July 1187, he became the Suke (assistant director) of Zokofuku-ji Temple. In 1166, he compiled the "The Biography of TACHIBANA no Hayanari." His eldest child, Mochitsune, succeeded to the father's position as the Tachibanashi choja.
